Die KFF-Streifen besitzen je ein Messgitter an der Ober- und Unterseite eines dicken Trägers aus Kunststoff. In den Fällen, bei denen wegen Unzugänglichkeit DMS nur an einer Seite eines biegebelasteten Messobjekts installiert werden können, kann mit diesen DMS durch Dehnungsmessungen an der einen Seite auch die Dehnung an der anderen Seite ermittelt werden.
