The base station is required for the configuration of T24 modules and this is simplified by the free T24 Toolkit software for Windows. Data can also be captured from an unlimited number of T24 acquisition modules.
The options of USB, RS232 or RS485 interfaces enable these base stations to connect to a wide range of devices such as PCs, PLCs, OEM hardware etc. The internal antenna provides up to 200m (650 ft) range.
The repeater acts as a transparent link between our T24 Acquisition modules and a base station or a hand held display. The Active Repeater was originally developed to increase wireless range, achieving greater coverage for wireless technology in the construction sector. Using the Active Repeater will allow messages to be repeated once, which can effectively double the radio range. It is powered by either a pair of alkaline ‘D’ Cells or an external power supply (5-18 Volts) and can be configured for extended battery life. The Repeater is also enclosed in an IP65 rated NEMA4 protected enclosure, to ensure protection in hostile environments.
The T24 toolkit which comes with the base stations has been designed to ease the configuration and calibration of all modules in the T24 product range.
The software recognizes the connected (‘Paired’) module and presents a set of specifically tailored pages in a clear and concise manner.
In most cases a T24 system will require initial configuration using the toolkit then the system will operate autonomously. The toolkit would only be required again if the configuration required changing.
The data viewer and logging functions can be used on an existing, installed system without interrupting its operation.
For software developers a standard Windows DLL and COM driver are available to enable data collection from T24 acquisition modules.
The free software T24LOG100 has been designed to allow the viewing and logging of up to 100 channels of data from the T24 Wireless Telemetry range. Displaying each value in a re-sizable window, channels can be setup with user defined algorithms that can be used to calculate a multitude of maths functions. For example, a display can show the value from a single T24 acquisition module or the sum of multiple modules. Visual displays and noise indicator alarm can indicate under and over range as well as loss in communications. T24LOG100 can log on demand, at pre-set intervals, on entering and leaving a pre-set overload and during an overload. The software is provided with your choice of corporate branding including company logo. The built in web server provides a summary view page to other computers, tablets, iPads and smart phones etc. using a standard browser.
