Die KFGT-Folien-DMS können gleichzeitig Dehnung und Temperatur messen. Neben der Messgitterfolie für die Dehnung befindet sich auf dem Träger auch ein Thermoelement (Cu/CuNi).
Diese DMS bringen merkliche Erleichterungen für Anwendungsfälle, in denen neben der Dehnung auch die Temperatur gemessen werden muss oder wenn während der Messungen Temperaturänderungen zu erwarten sind. Gleichzeitiges Messen von Temperatur und Dehnung eröffnet eine zuverlässige Möglichkeit zur Korrektur der durch Temperaturänderungen entstehenden scheinbaren Dehnung.
