DS-MINITAUR - Portable ruggedized dynamic data logger

Weighting just over 1.8 Kg, you can hold the DS-MINITAUR in one hand, and yet inside this small rugged box beats the heart of a giant. It's got eight dynamic analog inputs, each one backed up with a 24-bit AD converter for simultaneous sampling at the highest resolution. And the inputs are our "universal" type, which can handle strain gages and voltages up to +/-10V natively ... or connect our tiny MSI adapters and convert any of them to a different input type, including IEPE accelerometer inputs, 200V inputs, RTD's and thermocouples. The DS-Minitaur can be used as a simple data logger or as a high end multi input measurement device. Signals like voltage, current, temperature, strain, vibration or pressure can be acquired, stored and analyzed. The PC based connectivity with WLAN and USB guarantees the perfect connectivity. The built-in 1Hz or 100Hz GPS receiver offers the absolute time synchronization and is perfect for vehicle test applications.
 

Flexible Sample Rate: Select any sample rate up to 200 kHz/ch (simultaneous) for incredible ALIAS-FREE dynamic recordings (anti-aliasing filtering is built in, of course).

Small and lightweight: You will never pay overweight anymore on airplane for shipping measurement equipment, Minitaur weights only 1.8 kg. That's probably less weight than your notebook. Even though it is fully packed with features, it has extremely small size of only 230x78x45 mm, so it fits in any back pack or carrying case making it extremely portable.

Robust: DS-MINITAUR features carbon fiber and aluminum housing. Its build-in 64 GB solid state hard drive (120GB and 250GB optionsl) and high ambient temperature rating (-20 to 50 °C) ensures it will keep working in tough environments. For additional protection PC and instrument hardware are sealed in separate chambers.

Great connectivity: DS-Minitaur offers great connectivity. 4 USB ports allow the connection of external keyboard, mouse, USB keys for data transfer and additional devices. It has VGA connector for external display. LAN port also enables the connection to external LAN enabled devices or sensors, which are becoming more and more popular today.

Wireless synchronization: 1 Hz (or 100 Hz) build in GPS allows the precise absolute timestamping of data. With LAN or WLAN access more instruments can be connected in measurement network and acquire data simultaneously.

MSI adapters: Because the eight dynamic analog inputs on the DS-MINITAUR are "universal" type, they can handle strain gages (full bridge) as well as voltages up to +/-10V natively. But for even more versatility, connect our tiny MSI adapters and convert any of them to a different input type, including IEPE accelerometer inputs, 200V inputs, RTD's and thermocouples. MSI adapters are "smart", using TEDS technology to communicate with the DS-MINITAUR as soon as they are plugged in. Simply by connecting an MSI-ACC, for example, the channel sets itself up automatically to handle IEPE (aka ICP) sensors, such as microphones and accelerometers. We have MSI adapters for J, K, T thermocouples, as well as RTD sensors, and higher voltages (up to +/-200V) and also for 1/4 and 1/2 bridge completion.

Wide range power supply: The DC power supply ranges from 6-36 V, making it extremely useful for in-vehicle use. 6 V ensures stable operation even with firing up the car engine and 36 V upper limit is useful for trucks and airplanes. For industrial or office applications an external 110/220 V AC power supply is included.

DEWESoft included: Each DS-MINITAUR includes our award winning software package to measure analog, counter, CAN, GPS, video data and perform virtually any online or offline calculation task.
