Combining MicroStrain's DEMOD-DC® signal conditioner with embedded processing, wireless communications, and precision timekeeping, DVRT-Link™ -mXRS™ provides wireless data acquisition from all MicroStrain DVRT® displacement sensors operating within a fast, synchronized, scalable network of wireless sensor nodes located up to 1 km from our WSDA® -Base. DVRT-Link™ -mXRS™ nodes include an internal rechargeable Li-Ion battery and a standard connection to a user supplied microminiature or subminiature DVRT®.
At the heart of MicroStrain's extended range synchronized (mXRS™) system is the WSDA® -Base, which uses our exclusive beaconing protocols to synch precision timekeepers embedded within each sensor node in the network. The WSDA® -Base also coordinates data collection from all sensor nodes, including DVRT-Link™ -mXRS™. Users can easily program each node on the scalable network for simultaneous, periodic, or burst mode sampling with our Node Commander® software, which then automatically configures network radio communications to maximize the aggregate sample rate.
The DVRT-Link™ node features sample rates up to 4 KHz and 2 MB flash memory. With every node in a wireless network assigned a unique 16 bit address, a single host transceiver can address thousands of sensors. They're fast, extremely versatile and designed to operate as part of a high-speed wireless sensor network.
Its bi-directional RF communications link can trigger samples to be logged to onboard memory from up to 2000 meters, or request real-time data to be transmitted to the host PC for data acquisition/analysis. The frequency agile system enables simultaneous real-time streaming from up to 16 nodes in the 2.4 GHz range.
A Software Development Kit is available, which includes fully-commented source code and a compiled executable for: Microsoft® Visual Studio C++, Microsoft® VB, Microsoft® VB.NET, and LabVIEW®.
