The SG-Link® OEM-S wireless module is designed to provide sensor manufacturers with a low cost method of adding wireless capability to their product line.
Featuring complete strain gauge signal conditioning, embedded processing, wireless communications, and precision timekeeping, SG-Link® -OEM-S wireless nodes operate within a fast, synchronized, scalable network of wireless sensor nodes. SG-Link® -OEM-S may be located up to 70 m from our WSDA® -Base. SG-Link® -OEM-S modules can measure strain, torque, load, pressure and magnetic fields, when users provide a power source.
At the heart of MicroStrain's extended range synchronized (mXRS™) system is the WSDA® -Base, which uses our exclusive beaconing protocols to synch precision timekeepers embedded within each sensor node in the network. The WSDA® -Base also coordinates data collection from all sensor nodes, including SG-Link® -OEM-S. Users can easily program each node on the scalable network for simultaneous, periodic, or burst mode sampling with our Node Commander® software, which then automatically configures network radio communications to maximize the aggregate sample rate.
It's fast, extremely versatile and designed to operate as part of a high speed wireless sensor network. Featuring up to 4 KHz sweep rates, combined with 2 MB flash memory, these little nodes pack a lot of power in a small package. With every node in the wireless network assigned a unique 16 bit address, a single host transceiver can address hundreds of multi-channel sensor clusters.
A scalable system architecture enables small and large networks of nodes to collect data simultaneously using a broadcast trigger command to datalog to the nodes' internal memory, or transmit real-time data to a PC or gateway using parallel frequency streaming (FDMA) or time-slotted communications (TDMA).
OEM manufacturers can develop their own applications with our software development kit, which includes fully-commented source code and a compiled executable for Microsoft® Visual Studio C++ NET 7.1, Microsoft® VB 6.0, Microsoft® VB.NET 2003, Microsoft® VB.NET 2005 and LabVIEW® 7.1.
