ASE-A for passive and pedestrian safety (4903 and 9807 m/s² (500 and 1000 G))
Download a product Overview for KYOWA acceleration transducers.
ZSE bietet Beschleunigungsaufnehmer speziell für den Einsatz im Crash-Test-Versuch oder in der Crash-Test-Simulation.
Creative cooperation of JARI automobile research Institute and KYOWA Electronic Instruments Ltd. Japan has caused a new development of an oil damped miniature acceleration transducer for pedestrian testing methods, available with 500 and 1000 G rated capacity.
Obligatory approach of damped acceleration transducers
in regard of EURO NCAP application does meanwhile
authorize users in the field of pedestrian testing methods
to apply oil-damped accelerator transducers as ASE-A.
Those, formally in cooperation with JARI successfully
tested acceleration transducers made by KYOWA, consist
of a high damped ratio of 0.7. This new ASE-A series has
cause, in practical use, very positive results in regard of
outcome validation. In particularly at the point of breakage
of the windscreen etc.
In comparison to conventional undamped accelerations
transducers, the KYOWA damped acceleration transducers
of the ASE-A Series do not show a disturbing resonance
peak at the very moment of breakage of glass.
