Sub- and Microminiature Displacement Transducers by MicroStrain
Displacement Transducers by Kyowa
Miniature displacement sensors - DVRTs, include gauging, non-gauging (free sliding core) and non-contact displacement transducers.
The product line includes sub-miniature displacement sensors, micro-miniature displacement sensors, and miniature non-contact displacement sensors.
The World's Smallest Linear Gauge!
Ideal for tiny, tight array gauging. Applications in industrial automation, quality control and precision positioning.
Description
Designed to get into tight spaces, the microminiature gauging DVRT delivers high performance in a tiny package. A sapphire bearing and ruby ball guide the spring loaded tip, providing an exceptionally smooth static and dynamic response.
Features of micro-gauging DVRT's include: micron to submicron resolution, linear analog output, flat dynamic response to kHz levels, and very low temperature coefficients. Extremely lightweight, captive cores are tiny yet rugged. Superelastic, corrosion resistant alloys provide resistance to kinking and permanent deformation, and allow complete submersion of the instrument.
A range of stroke lengths, attachments, and test fixtures have been developed.
Micro-gauging DVRT's are ideal for applications requiring closely spaced sensing arrays. Sensor arrays of only 2.5 mm center-to-center spacing can be readily implemented with our Clamping Collar mounting system. This system also protects the sensor and test items from inadvertant excess applied force or displacement.
Multichannel signal conditioners are provided as "plug and play" enclosures, with keyed cables and UL approved supplies. Miniature circuit cards are also available for high volume OEM customers. As with all MicroStrain products, every device is carefully tested prior to shipment, and calibration data are included with each order.
All of our microminiature gauging displacement sensors are precision layer wound for enhanced linearity, repeatability and stability.
