Displacement transducers in the DTP-DS series measure displacement by having a potentiometer convert expansion/contraction of the displacement detection wire to a corresponding electrical quantity. Four models are available with rated capacity of 500, 1000, 2000 and 5000mm, while all models provide the same large rated output of 5mV/V to rated capacities. A constant measuring force and other features make these transducers easy to use.
- For measurement of large displacements and with high output voltage
- Same rated output for different rated capacities
- Measuring force of wire is constant (however, measuring force in pullout direction is different from that in pullin direction)
- Compact, lightweight and easy to install
- Connectable to strain amplifier for measurement
- Stainless steel wire (SUS 304)
In applications where the transducer proper cannot be installed to a steady point due to a tube attached to the wire outlet port, the flexible steady point type DTP-D-S is available for displacement measurement with the tip of tube fixed in place.
Precaution
Transducers in this series cannot be used for measurement of dynamic variables or rapidly moving objects, or for applications involving fine vibrations.
